“Here are some invasive species in the Eramosa River are Purple Loosestrife, Giant Hogweed, Zebra mussels, Round Gobies, Sea Lamprey, Rusty Crayfish, and Asian Carp. These invasive species make it incredibly challenging for all of our native species to not only survive but to be healthy. Zebra mussels come from Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Asian carp comes from Southeast Asia. Giant hogweed also comes from Asia”.
