After the wedding at Goldstream Park, my friends and I went camping together at Lake Cowichan and stayed near Honeymoon Bay, which was a beautiful place to relax and spend time. This photo was from our first evening there, we went for a sunset walk and swim by the lake. Yesterday, we had an AMAZING turnout during the Y4 Yesterday, we had an AMAZING turnout during the Y4RC welcome call for our 4th cohort! This brand new cohort will feature 90 youths across the country as they expand their leadership skills and work on community climate action and resilience initiatives. They will be meeting in person in Western Newfoundland later this month for their first Collaboratorium... The best is DEFINITELY yet to come! Funded by Canada Service Corps ... He said it was some of the best lights he had seen in his four months up there. I was visiting my friend for a few days in Yellowknife, where he was working for the federal government doing bird conservation and GIS. 📍 Location: Rivière-du-Loup, QC 👤 Captured by: @it 📍 Location: Rivière-du-Loup, QC 👤 Captured by: @itskiho A note from the photograph: We were stopping in Rivière-du-Loup (RDL) on our way back to Montreal from the maritimes, and decided that we wanted to catch the last rays of sunlight glinting off the waters from the shore. So we drove down the hill that RDL rests on, and managed to capture a lovely moment of serenity at sunset, where the waters were calm but textured, and the sky offered us a beautiful assemblage of oranges, pinks and blues. This is a different view and experience of the St. Lawrence from my usual time in Montreal. This serenity is not something I’m accustomed to from the river, as it is fast moving and full of rapids where I usually visit, and compounded by the bustling city energy. #Y4RCPHOTOSHOWCASE #CanadaServiceCorps #LeadersToday #ServiceJeunesseCanada #LeadersDaujourdhui
