On the week of February 26 to March 4, our project

On the week of February 26 to March 4, our project lead Laurence met with Kuujjuaq’s local 3D artist Rob McLay in Jaanimmarik school’s art classes to talk about his perspective on water with the students. They were then invited to participate in the final artwork by representing water around them with a medium of their choice. As of right now, the students are finishing up their contribution to the artpiece!

There’s a snow desert in between Kuujjuaq and th

There’s a snow desert in between Kuujjuaq and the Ungava Bay, called “the land”, where there’s no cell service or access to water/electricity. There is a practicable road for cars, but it stops at some point (there’s a sign that says “end of the road”), and it’s still a very long way to go to Ungava Bay.
Laurence @lauethier is leading the UNITY project here in Kuujjuaq, and it would not have been possible without the support of the local community, who are so welcoming and willing to share a lot of their daily life with Laurence!

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres opened the #UNWaterConference by saying: “This is more than a conference on water. It is a conference on today’s world seen from the perspective of its most important resource." This sense of magnitude and urgency ran through the opening and into Waterlution's Official Side Event.
Our team was reunited in NYC, and we met up with past team members, youth advisors, partners and water network friends from across the globe, like the Women for Water partnership steering committee members. We were able to connect with Robert "Bob" Rae, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations in New York.
As was pronounced during the conference,
"Our chance is here and now. We may not have another."

We're excited to announce the amazing success of our Water Innovation Lab program in Tanzania! 🎉 The local community around the Ruaha National Park has learned valuable processes, such as design thinking, system thinking, problem identification, and ideation. 🧠
Teams from different occupations and backgrounds have come together to tackle water challenges related to livestock, agriculture, wildlife, and water accessibility, resulting in 9 innovative ideas! 🐮🌿🦁 💦
And the good news is, we're not stopping there. There will be another phase of prototyping these ideas!
Waterlution team couldn't be prouder to have led this incredible initiative, and we're excited to continue working towards sustainable solutions for our communities and the environment. 💪🏽
