Over the last few weeks, we’ve been INSPIRED by th Over the last few weeks, we’ve been INSPIRED by the ways our Youth for Resilient Communities participants showcased water in their own way. 💙
Two submissions were selected to be painted by Waterlution team member and artist Helena Vallée-Dallaire (@helena.vd). The first painting made its way from Quebec to the remote island of Bamfield, British Columbia, to Y4RC Cohort 3 participant Eden Perry! She took it on a further trip to the location where her photo was taken before opening the box.
Stay tuned for the second submission…

A note from the photograph: This picture, taken by @exertiongoldsun, served as a reference for a mural created behind the local Library. I appear ready to ski in the middle of summer, referencing the many ways we engage with the lake throughout the year. This lake really is the heart of village life, and more-than-human life, a source of so much joy, beauty and memories, all year-long.

A note from the photograph: Picture taken during an unforgettable long stay in Kuujjuaq back in 2023, on the shore of the Koksoak River. It was a very cold day, close to minus 30 celsius! 🥶

THAT’S A WRAP! To close out the #Y4RCPHOTOSHOWCAS THAT’S A WRAP!
To close out the #Y4RCPHOTOSHOWCASE, our staff members decided to join on the fun and share their own photos, take a look!
📍 Location: Lake Huron, ON
👤 Captured by: @dawfle, our innovation lead!
A note from the photograph: I was dabbling my finger on the edge of these rocks enjoying the sensations of the water and the shadows and the sounds of the small waves coming in from the wind...all while the children played off in the shallow distance. Precious moments.
