Aboriginal Youth Water Leaders is a project focused on developing leadership capacity among young Aboriginal participants ages 17-29 years. This project will be focused within the Okanagan region, specifically working with the Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) and their member communities which include: Okanagan Indian Band, Upper Nicola Band, Westbank First Nation, Penticton Indian Band, Osoyoos Indian Band and Lower and Upper Similkameen Indian Bands and the Colville Confederated Tribes.

Come join us for our final Syilx Youth Leaders workshop! It will be a fun and action filled day at Mission Creek. We will be visiting the Syilx landmark coyote tower; discussing the importance of salmon habitat restoration; as well as creating and promoting a social media campaign inviting the province, local governments and residents to engage in cross sector dialogue to build support to bring back the sockeye salmon to Okanagan Lake.

We believe in youth participation and the co-development of water strategies of the future.
